A wirecraft of Deshutes Jasper and simple 8 prong of Charolite..

I like the way you did the charoite.  I know it has been seen here as a tutorial.  I'm going to do that with some of my stones.  btw  have you everdone that with argentium SS?  It is cool the way it fuses - saves time and material -  don't have  to buy flux or solder. . .                dancer5

No, I haven't tried the argentium SS yet but when I need more SS I'll will order some.

Looking good Don,  the jasper looks as if you are looking into a large thunder cloud.  I really like both pieces! yes

 yes....Both are great, but I love the Jasper........gotta real soft spot for that stuff and picked up that piece from Gregor.  What gauge wire are you using in that Jasper?

The charoite is pretty but that jasper is absolutely gorgeous!!

If you click on this link; http://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,6175.0.html it will take you to the tutorial of how the silver wire is formed to incorporate the bail and a prong for the stone. Note the bail is soldered to the base wire.

Don on that one. Why did you decide to add a set of prongs? I'd think with that shape stone your 6 prong should hold it just fine.

Mike, I agree as for as looks only. The photo is hiding the actual length as I do not have a ruler or coin for you to compare to. The cab is 1 13/16" in length or just a little over 1 3/4". Anyway I added the extra prongs because of the cab's length and strength it gives.
