I like the way you did the charoite. I know it has been seen here as a tutorial. I'm going to do that with some of my stones. btw have you everdone that with argentium SS? It is cool the way it fuses - saves time and material - don't have to buy flux or solder. . .

Looking good Don, the jasper looks as if you are looking into a large thunder cloud. I really like both pieces!

Don:) They are both so very beautiful. i love the way you added that little special something by twirling up the end of the bails on the Charolite:)

SOS, If you click on this link; http://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,6175.0.html it will take you to the tutorial of how the silver wire is formed to incorporate the bail and a prong for the stone. Note the bail is soldered to the base wire. Don

Don on that one. Why did you decide to add a set of prongs? I'd think with that shape stone your 6 prong should hold it just fine. Mike

Mike, I agree as for as looks only. The photo is hiding the actual length as I do not have a ruler or coin for you to compare to. The cab is 1 13/16" in length or just a little over 1 3/4". Anyway I added the extra prongs because of the cab's length and strength it gives. Don
