There was some discussion a while back on the leaves I use on some pieces. So I though I'd post a couple as insperation as to how they can be used & how multipe ones & different size flowers can be used in conjunction. As well as using some curly wire as embelishments. These are a couple of my favorites I've done using leaves. The two turquoise pendants were made as interchangable pendants for the same necklace. The bracelet shows how they can be used to make a shadowbox effect. The leaves start out flat. It all depends on how they're bent as to how they look & fit the piece.

Do you make these leaves and flowers? If so would you mind showing us how?

Nice rhodacrosite pendant. The leaves and flowers really do make it stand out.

Honestly I've never used  leaves but one time as I made them out of silver sheet and they didn't look as good as the cast ones. I'm very envious of you having a friend to cast some for you.

How about you selling me/us some of your extras????    hide

The flowers are a standard IJS item. They come in 3 sizes the ones I used here are small & medium. I don't really use the large ones much. There are two different types of leaves. The larger more S curved ones & smaller more straight ones. I'm running out of the smaller ones & will probably have to get Fred to make me a mold for them & cast me up a bunch. I can show how to make leaves simular to the S ones if you'd like a tutorial on it. They really aren't that hard to do from sheet & wire. I'm just lazy & the cast ones are simple to use.
