I haven't ever sold at a show, but i use similar methods to display.  If i have a cab from the same stone as a slab, i will definitely display them together.  It is a great way to show the quality of the slab and what its capable of producing, as long as the cab is really nice.  I also use Riker mounts and they are a really nice way to display cabs.  George's cabs glued to cards may be an even better route to go.  Its easy to get a good look at the cab and the customer can touch them.  The more the customer can touch and see your cab or slab, the better.
