Gary,
Have you ever considered trying the many art and wine shows in the Bay Area? There is one nearly every weekend starting in early June and going through late September.They are very quality conscious and focus on high end crafts and jewelry. When we lived there we browsed almost every weekend and loved the goods that were offered. Generally, the customers are more affluent and will buy more expensive things. When we were there last Thursday we saw in the San Jose paper that real estate has gone up 24% this last year. Our daughter is loving it! She bought a fixer-upper (at $400,000!), did some updates and its now worth $560K. Elactronics and biotech are growing, too
