So in preparation of my first show on Father's Day weekend, I'd asked a friend from school if he could help me get a website pulled together.  It's very simple but elegant I think!  The purpose at this point in time is not so much to sell jewellery but more for just letting folks know I'm out there I guess.

Let me know any feedback you have please!

Thanks,

Jenn

Jenn, beautiful jewelry, and nice website.  Would make one suggestion.  On Gallery, Exhibitions and Contact, everything seems to be at the top of the page, with a bare looking bottom(of the page).  Perhaps you could either center it all, or spread it out a bit more.  Just an idea.

I like the idea of having a landing page like you are doing. The banner image on that page is great, as are all the others within the site.

You might consider adding a little somthing letting guests know that maybe you are able to do custom design requests.

I like the "About Artist" info. Nicely done.

Maybe have your friend think about adding meta tags for site description, and key words up in the header.

Your pieces are really exceptional.. ! You will do well selling online !

Congrats on getting this up.. Looks great !

Wow JennJenn:)
Methinks you have been hiding your light under a bushel basket:)
Let is shine Girl, let it shine.
I loved the pieces you have designed. I wanted to try that tube setting myself. I really enjoyed the way you created the settings.
Heck I loved all of it.
Very elegant main page too:)

Jenn, I think your work is spectacular. However, I feel your site is lacking. First, I want to see a couple of good pictures of you in your about page. Lots of text can get boring and lose the reader. Also, the reference to you in the third person was disturbing. People want to feel like you are talking directly to them.

I would like to know more about your jewelry pieces, which again, I think are fantastic. Plus I would like to see larger pictures even if they are roll overs.

I feel your pages could use a bit more graphic balance.

Jenn, I am sorry if I upset you, but I do know I much prefer constructive criticism, it is most helpful to me.

No worries Gary, I do prefer to get some criticism otherwise how does one improve!  It's always good to have others give it a 2nd look.

I am planning on adding descriptions to each pic.  Supposedly its a bit complicated so that's why it hasn't been done yet.  Not sure what to do about the 3rd person thing though.  I did look at quite a few other sites and that seems to be common practice.

Still have some other tweaking to do just need to fit it in!

Thanks for the feedback.

Hey Jenn,

I love your site.  It's really clean, but classy and professional looking.

The one thing I will agree with is you need a picture of yourself in the about area.
The reasons I say this is #1, my husband and I are professional photographers and
we are always after our friends, (who are photographers) to put pictures of themselves
on their website.  It's what they do.  But the 2nd and main reason I feel you should have
a professional portrait done, is it lets people make a connection to you, the artist.  I don't
know what the percentage is but, a  lot of people are visual and this is how they make a
connection, is visually.  You wouldn't describe your work without putting a picture of it
to show your customers.  A lot of people are visual.

Forgive my rant.  It's a beautiful site and your work is amazing.

Keep it up... ura  ura
