I am both a newbie here on this forum and a newbie in wire sculpture wire working.  I have been studying tutorials and trying my hand at this wrapping method for a while now.   I really enjoy working with wire and hope to get better with time.

This is a large flat oval bead that I have wrapped here.

This is a puffed oval purple flower jasper bead I have wrapped.

This is a simulated turquoise pendant (howlite).

I have done some interesting river rock pendants with copper wire too.

Wow Cheryl!

Great work and you picked some great looking cabs to wrap.

Say, is your daughter still at it too?

I would not have guessed the turquoise cab to be simulated. Looks like a matrix turquoise.

Nice work. They look pretty good for a new wire wrapper.

Thank you both.  I have only wrapped larger pieces so far.  I am ready to try some smaller cabs for earrings.  I will post more pictures when I have some done.

I know very little about these things, but I love to come over here and check out what pieces everyone is working with.  These are stunning Cheryl.  Just really very very nice.

KC

I've never been a big fan of wire wrap jewelry, however your work is changing my mind (the best compliment I can give is someones work changing my thinking, LOL), something very delicate about it. I definately like the peices you've shown, can't wait to see more. New Fan in the making!

VERY NICE indeed...

and a belated Happy B-Day wish.

Nice work Kc, looks like Preston Reuther style, If you want a source for some quality inexpensive wire to work with look up "Para Wire". I have repeat customers requesting that wire in lieu of sterling. Its tarnish resistant  and great to work with. The gold is very nice too and you can get the wire in 300' rolls.

KC

Have you done any more since these, would love to see them...

I really like the scroll work on the first one.  Gotta say, you've made me a fan, and given me some design idea's.

thanks a million for sharing.

Wonder what the reason for this thread being viewed almost 400 times is?

Not that it matters, just thought it odd...

Nice work!

There is a tutorial for border wraps (no, not taco bells)  for faceted and cabs @
http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-30217534458788/instructions.pdf

Fairly large .PDF but its a different style that doesnt hide the stones as much. I use both methods, depending on the gemstone.

Those Bezel Form(tm) Templates that you sell are interesting.

I noticed several other wire wrap related tutorials on your site too.

I took a few minutes to check them out.

Thanks for posting this one. It really is an interesting guide.

Let me share with you how much fun I have doing the Bezel Form thing. This is an email I received this morning from TX!

Hi Rick
Did you hear the shriek all the way at your house? I got my package today and I think I scared two years growth off the mailman when I squealed.(he's OOOOLD, so it was actually beneficial)

OMG I am going to have fun tonight!

Thanks again!
Terri

Cheryl,

You still around?

I think you have been pretty busy with your working on your site.

How is that coming along and do you have some recent wire wraps to show?
