This weekend, May 7,8 and 9 is the 36th annual Valley Springs Pow Wow. It has over 200 vendors with gems, minerals, jewelry, crafts, food (and a beer truck) music, camping, antique gas engines, radio controlled airplanes, Native American Dancing, Mountain man demonstrations and a booth with a local church group that sells home made pies (my favorite).
I have been going to the event for over 25 years and it is one of my main sources of slabs and cutting rough.
Valley Springs is located in California's Gold Country about 60 miles Southeast of Sacramento.
PM me if you have any questions.

dancer5 Went to the Pow Wow today with my daughter, I am exhausted as all get out, Nice day today, I think I have a sunburn on my nose and cheeks. Lots of rocks, just sorry I did not pick up the yellow coral and the two slabs of palm wood when I first seen them.  I was way too tired when I had walked through and I could not remember where they were.

I did find some Rhodonite from Australia Rain Forest Jasper and Obsidian and Agates from my favorite person from San Jose. My only regret, not driving my truck, although ample parking, it is a little rough.

Roe:) Everyday is a good day if you can play and touch rocks:)
We spend every penny we can on rocks until our next draws so your purchases are kinda like buying more rocks. At least vicariously. LOL
When you can please let us see your treasures:)
