Our clubs' spring show is over. Always a lot of fun. All these were taken just before opening.
The first is a dealer, Lori and Kevin Allind.

Paul Hickerson and Connie McGarrah, at the silent auction and grab bag table.

Dealer and club members Lynn and Roger Sackett, from Redfield Iowa.

Spencer Leininger and Joan Hickerson, working on the menu.

Charlotte and her friend Delane cox's table.

Charlotte's setup. These next pix were taken on Sunday morning, after Charlotte had sold quite a bit!

Wow!  I'm very impressed.  Looks like your club really does a great job with their show.  Your table is very nice.  Wonderful display and the variety of your pieces has something for everyone.

Great job

George, To the right side of the table is Charlotte's. Also the closer ups, and earrings on the easel, and a couple set ups on another dealers' table, that she had been doing some horse trading with.
Couldn't say attendance was up or down, most of the dealers made a profit, some better than last year, others not as good. What I did notice, was that the geegaws, didn't sell, but mid priced quality items did. Charlotte did pretty good. One handicapped dealer, was ecstatic, when I bought some Turquoise from him, as it put him over a thousand, with about 3 hours to go, and basically all he was selling was cabs, some slabs, and a little bit of rough. A dealer, I caught another dealer ponying up almost 600 hundred for sales tax, so figure that out for 9%. And he was a fill in!
Also, the last couple of years, we could not keep our stock of grab bags up, this year they were slow.

I just want to say that "I" had a great time, learned a lot, and spent my allowance !

Show was well organized, well lit, not too crowded, easy to find and park and a good assortment of vendors to chose from.  Over all the hosts can pat themselves on the back
for a job well done!

What little profit from the show goes for extraneous expenses for our club. Our clubhouse, is an old one room schoolhouse. Two years ago, we had a bathroom installed (we still have the outhouses as backup, although the ladies would probably not use the word BACKUP), promptly followed by an icestorm, which required a tree trimming service to remove big limbs from roofs.
Last month, new windows were installed, and they were highly needed. But we have a clubhouse and near new shop building. Oh yeah, shop building, was some more cost.
