I love my Galaxy wheels and really love my 80 grit hex.  I've found that the hex wheels are lots faster and last 2 to 3 times longer than non-hexed.  I've had this one for over 6 years now but have developed a bald spot.  Actually I had one yesterday (1st pic) and now I have 2 today.

Robert, you are a super experienced lapidary, so far be it for me to attempt to school you...  I would have tossed this one long ago, but that's just me  lol
