Helen Madden 1975 Con Women of Opal Hill Mine

I can never forget arriving at Opal Hill Mine,1975, and meeting mine owner Helen Madden. I told her, I spent 4 months in Kodiak Alaska, unloading King Crab fishing boats. She saw a young 24 yr old sucker, who had a money stash capital. We went into her small trailer and then she began the hustle. She showed me her football size fire agate opal  and other valuable stone shining fire agates. Then she showed me a pouch of 25 fire agates, small size 1/2 the size of a small finger nail,  and going to Chicago, the money  I could make investing in them. She got me..............I bought the stones and did not know, that the fire was weak and could not be cut into a stone setting. Yes, she conned me out of $400.That was a lot money for me then. The agates, had little fire, and were weak to cut into a proper nice stone. Thank you Helen, for your devious fraudulent ways, you really took advantage of me. Buyer beware and that experience taught me many lessons in life.
