Well probably going to wish I was elsewhere but this coming Sat is our last outside show for the summer here in San Antonio.  They are predicting 92 to 95 degrees and about 85% humidity and chance of isolated late afternoon thunderstorms.  I expect all but the rain, so far have had rain all around us and all we have gotten is a big 1/3 of an inch so far.  Some places did well and got 6 to 8 inches, but all came in an hours or so, so bad flooding.  Still in drout and still on water rationing.

Wife has been busy with some new stones and I have worked on cleaning up a few free form slabs, since she usually grabs my pendants as fast as I finish them.  The names of the various items in the pictures are below the pic, and these plus others appear on the web-site and BLOG and in our Newsletter that went out today to subscribers.

Suprise Suprise.  This ended up being the best show we have had since the 2 day show just before Christmas last year.  What was interesting, unlike most past shows, one or two things were what everyone seemed to go for, no specific items this show.  Of course the Necklace Sets were the best sellers, and have five orders for more of the Australian Red Rock if can get it.  The last picture shows how the wife put it into a necklace.  The Spiderweb Web Turquoise was next and pendants made out of Fossil Coral (pic below) were next and have ordes for some more of them.  Slabs went, unmounted pendants went, some faceted stones went, and about half of what the gals marked down 50% to get rid of old inventory, all went.  We were having a great day, but about half of the vendors started leaving at noon as they weren't selling anything (yard signs, baskets, purses, candels, knic-nacks, etc.).  Only 5 other jewelry out of 77, and two of them had "Parker Trade Show" Chinese stuff in bulk, and they weren't selling anything.  One lady with Clay Polemer (beautiful stuff) was doing good, and the wife even got some of her pendants to put in necklaces, and then one lady with Dichroic Glass was doing OK.  Of course with it being 95 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, the shaved ice, ice cream and drink vendors had a field day.  So guess can say we ended the Spring Season on a high note.  Now have to go looking for things like the coral, red rock jasper, spider-web turquoise, plume agate, pyrite, and owyhee jasper and then hope they are also popular this fall !  Now my work really begins as have some 38 items to remove from the web-site.

Great to hear that the show went well. Sounds like people were buying - but not the foo-foo stuff.

Good to see you did good. I was going to drive down to that show and visit a friend that lives in San Antonio but I had to work. I may sell at the Dallas show this year.
