Morissonite pendant

I recently launched my web site after two months in the making and it grabbed the attention of a prospective client that wanted to see my shop and the available pendants up close. She got to see finished and ruff pieces and lots of slabs "in waiting". A nice piece of Morrisonite Jasper caught her eye so I worked with the pattern, shape and cost with her in the shop to her agreement. Here's the beginning and end shots. I'll have a shot video up on the web site of this piece soon, although it will be marked "sold". This is to be a gift for her daughter who will soon be graduating from law school.
Cheers,
Kent

Lovely piece! It's a very pleasing shape and frames the pattern of the stone well. Looks like it would wear very nicely.

That shape, which I call an "axe" shape is one of my favorite shapes in beads and cabochons and not nearly enough folks make them. It seems some folks are scared of the concave cutting and sanding. You did a killer job on that Morrisonite, so your client should be thrilled.

Thanks Amanda !!. The pattern kinda dictated the shape. I had not planned to crown it in two directions either (top to bottom and sideways per photo), which really can't be seen in the photos, but that's the way if happened.
Got lucky, client loves it !!
