love the dendrites. Do you collect that yourself at the Copo reservoir in northern Calif.? I heard that you couldn't get in there to collect anymore?

I haven't collected there and I also heard that collecting is not allowed. Over the years I have picked up the material from shows or collections that I have purchaded.

That piece to me is certainly COPCO because of the orange skin, milky background and the pattern of the inclusions.

Wow, now that you post that piece I'm back to thinking copco. There are two patterns - each is just below the surface on opposite sides - not typical placement and pattern of Montanas I've seen. Maybe I'll tumble or grind down closer to the pattern, which looks pretty cool. Here's some pictures dry of both sides.

It is very common with Copco material to be a flattened shape with a pattern on both sides though the patterns are not identical and they don't go all the way through.

Thanks Bob - Indeed the patterns are restricted to 2 layers each about 1/8"-1/16" below the surface on either side. As far as I can tell the center of the agate is just milky white.
I'll have to look for your article to learn how to turn a piece like this into such a beautiful cab.
