Hi all!  I happened upon this forum while researching some rocks from a collection that I recently inhereted -- about 100 pounds of various rocks, most sliced and polished.  I am probably going to end up selling most of it, trying to work some of the pieces into stained-glass projects, and trying my hand at jewelry making.  But first I need someplace (hopefully this forum) that can help me identify some of the pieces.  I'm hoping that I can post some pictures/descriptions to the forum and maybe learn what the stones are, and some history behind them (where they're found) and maybe learn how to price some of pieces and where to find a market for them.

Thanks to all of you in advance.

Hi Cheryl and welcome to the forum!  Where in AZ are you?  My husband and I are in Chino Valley.

Go right ahead and post pics of your rocks.  Lots of folks here to help you identify them.

I posted two pictures yesterday under the "Stone Talk/Mineral Specimens" topic.   I never thought I would find "rocks" so interesting!!

Thank you, everyone.
