Here is our Toy Box. I built it 2 1/2 years ago after many many tears of dreaming about having a place large enough for all of my projects. The building is 4200 square feet with the actual shop are being 3300 square feet. I have my edit suite and Rena has her jewelry area. The shop has our lapidary area and our silversmithing area. The photography shooting area utilizes some of my old studio equipment that I just could not sell! Of course the shop is filled with music and the area's best homebrew beer. If anyone is ever in the Reno area please stop by and visit!!!

I am slobbering all over every single inch of your different work areas !
I enjoy a nice office area, and like yours a lot.
I am going to place myself in and "adopt a lapidary" program. One of you guys and gals with these kick ass shops might take me in ? ;D

You are so right! It is just my ol' oxy/acetylene welding system with a '000' tip. It has been working great. I should have taken the picture with my giant rosebud tip on there, you would have enjoyed that visual!! George, you are always welcome!!! Bruce... 69 Camaro??? I have one also and oh how I wish I had it today. It was a Yenko with a ZL1 engine...

Gary, You need to stuff a few old cars in there for restoring! Great shop! But a bit too roomy. Needs more rocks piled into it. OH. To have that 65 GTO back. 3 2s, positraction, hurst shift, 2 door hardtop. Sigh. Bob

Bob, you are making me drool about the Goat!! I have three projects lined up that you would enjoy. A 1940 Chevy coupe (chassis is finished), 1951 Chevy deliver van (transmission needs rebuild, it is my production van) and finally my 1974 Datsun Z that is going to get converted to being an electric car. But I would still like to have my Camaro back!!

Edit suite? So is it Avid or Finalcut? Too far away to see the computer. That's on my list of projects for later this year too, making a video of some lapidary tasks as well as some videos through my microscope. I have a Finalcut Pro set up but have been slowed by the lack of blue-ray support for my system thus far. I hope Apple will upgrade this spring at the NAB convention and finally support Blue-ray with their Software suite.
If not I may have to buy the Adobe DVD software and integrate it with my system. But that also means a new Mac computer with Intel Processors as Adobe's DVD software only works with that brand processor. Oh well, I guess I was looking for an excuse to get an 8 processor system.

Final Cut Pro is the editing software I use. I was part of the test group, back when I had hair, for version 1. Sure is a lot cheaper than my old Grass Valley switcher days and takes up a whole lot less room!

Sweet, I can't remember what the floor in my shop looked like! I just know it's there somewhere. I go hunting in areas with the most dust just to see what I forgot I had ;D. 40 yrs as a semi-professional packrat takes it's tolls.
Guess I'll thro mine in the ring too...'55 Chevy C-Modified (at the time), 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda 383 Hypo (they haven't come close since). Now I just stay with my V-Dubs!
