I just purchased a Great Western 18" saw and am looking for an instruction manual and need to know what kind of oil to use in the hydraulic cylinder.  Thanks,

If you have a Tractor Supply near you, they should have hydraulic oil.  As to the cutting oil, food grade mineral oil is all that I use. Sold under many names such as technical white oil. Available from industrial oil distributors. Totally safe to use.

I get my hydraulic oil from the John Deere tractor shop and the food grade mineral oil from the local feed mill.
