Even the opals being referred to as Australian are difficult to challenge as synthetic opals are sold in Australia. Even the stones that are not usually described as a color are made synthetically at very low cost. The seller is very careful in almost every listing to never claim it is a certified natural stone.
What about the rutilated quartz? That seller lists the main stone as quartz. It looks funny to me, but maybe it is a doublet with a thin layer of actual rutilated quartz? Either that or it is just faked somehow?
