Lapis rough rings

One of my first stone discs cut from rough. It's 30mm disc, and I used a cold chisel to 'encourage' a split to open to reveal a rough surface I found to be interesting.

That surface does look interesting. Not everything has to be as smooth as glass.

The best part is you don't have to worry about the stone getting broken or scratched in the future.
