What would you call this?

Hi we have a pile of chunks of Amethyst like the one shown in the pics from Thunder bay in Canada.
We have been told it's called "sponge amethyst" but I can find no such think when I do a search, so does anyone know if there is a proper name for Amethyst formations like this.
When I list it on our shop I want to to use a meaningful name that people might use in a search to find it.
many thanks in advance
Dave

Up at the Blue Points mine they call it "coral". Also see:

Nice thing is the tiny crystals inside are perfect and undamaged, look yours over closely some have tiny tiny gold cubes floating inside the crystals (need to look at 30X).

I wouldn't know what to call it except for interesting. Just curious, what are you thinking of selling it for?

Hi Guys
Thanks to both of you, coral sounds good looked all over the place to find something similar but drew a blank.
Regarding price will lost that later as not near the shop right now, but suffice to say we must have around 15lb of this in various sizes.
Cheers Dave

I am thinking quartz cluster. I see all types from all over. Some are druzy, some are needles. But I think they all qualify as quartz clusters.
