I joined about a year ago but never posted. So I figured I had better post right away so I can keep my account active.  ura  I have been interested in rocks since childhood, used to drive Mom nuts with rocks in my pockets getting washed. I have been doing cabs, silver fabrication, a little wire wraping,
Knife handles, spheres (two sphere machines) flint napping (I haven't done much lately) and I just picked up a used casting machine and kiln to learn casting. I go on regular flies trips collecting in Nevada and California. I have a few rocks in the back lot (tons?)
I will see about posting some pictures, not sure where to start.
I like to think that I know more than some, but less than most.

Thanks everyone
Talusman  I am in Gardnerville on the other side of the state, I don't normally get past the Tonapah area I won't be much help,. I am going to Parumph next month and a friend is going to take me out to a rainbow oynx mine for some sphere material.

Kent, you can still find pet wood at Wilson canyon but its not much good to cut and cab,  nice yard rock and you can still find agate west of there but its not very good also.

I've spend a lot of time in Gardenerville and Minden having lived in Markleeville, that where we shopped. I've a relative that owns Minden Air.

Cheers
