Hi all, my wife Mary and I just got back from a great day of rock hounding at the Hogg Mine in LaGrange, GA, about 4 hours from Pensacola FL. We found plenty of Rose and Smokey Quartz, as well as some small pieces of Tourmaline and tiny piece of aquamarine and some small beryl. PICS to follow soon.
My question for all of you is what do you do with Beryl? I heard that I can clean it and then put some baby oil on it? I do not that it feels very soft so I don't really want to mess with it that much.
