found this walking around..

any help with Identification...

also when I put a light to the rock it glows orange and not from the cloth behind...

Possibly some common Opal.

desert mountain area near  las vegas, NV ...   and I was thinking it might be opal too..

Peach colored opalite is pretty common in CA deserts.  Opalite is pretty easy to identify by wet glossy opaque look.
