Hi!

Looking to purchase a new diamond belt around 14,000 grit for 8x3 rubber exspando drum.

So far I've used 3M belts but the price on them has really jumped up they want $137 for a belt today!

Has anyone tried Eastwind brand? They are American made and a lot less expensive. Please link me up

if you have found a less costly alternative.

 THANKS!

I haven't gotten a chance to use the belts yet, but am currently waiting to try one out. My student has a 1200grit belt coming in the mail for her unit, but last time I ordered through them it took almost two months to get here in the US. Granted, it was Chinese New Year... their reps were very good with getting back to me on the issue.

Lets hope that link works.

The plus side is I see they still do free shipping..

If anyone else has feedback on these guys, I'd love to hear, cause so far they aren't bad for Chinese made products, without breaking the bank.

I have been using both 3M and Eastwind for around 6 years, in my opinion the 3 M is by far the best, the Eastwind leaves a residue on the face of the stone when polishing from 8 k upwards, and I use HEAPS of water and only soft pressure, I contacted the supplier about this and they don,t care, another good option is to make your own I have the new belts to make these just need the time to try, these bangles I cut were polished on the outer with 50K 3M imperial belts, I have had a small problem with the join coming apart as they get older, they can also tear easily as they get age on them.

I have been using Mo Hans belts for over a year now. I am happy with them. I have 2 sets, 6" and 8".  Shipping from China was fast, about a week or so. I am not keeping track of how many cabs come off the 6" and 8" belts but the total number is up around 400 now and still going strong. Good belts, Great communication and Fast shipping. Best tools I have gotten out of China.

I also received my 6 inch sintered and a set of belts from Hans in about a week.  Good stuff so far...
