I love to show kids at school rocks. I have a nice selection in my office. The best is when one of the teachers tell a student "Mr Rafter likes rocks" and I pull one out of my pocket. Costco jeans have a right side small pocket just for pocket rocks. That is very considerate of them.

Good Job.....   I do some school showings as well. More people need to do this if they can. It does not take much to please the kids and have a big influence. My last visit I took in a 6 inch saw and let the kids cut open small geodes. Even the two teachers cut open a geode and everyone got to keep their rock.
PS: I always feel you do not need to teach them about rocks or geology. Just inspire their imagination and they will take it from there.
Keep up the show and tell.
