Hi! I am from British Columbia and discovered the world of Lapidary when I stumbled upon the Lapidary room at an RV park we stayed at in Yuma! I have always loved making beaded jewelry, but was so excited to learn the art of grinding and polishing that little slab into a beautiful cab! I also went from wire work to silversmithing and have since set up a bit of a workshop with torch, pickle and tools at home. Unfortunately I don't have anything set up for the rock grinding, so am trying to stretch out the cabs I made, along with a few I have bought online, till we go back down in January! I am hoping to learn more about the stones proper names, at this point I definitely have a few in the P.R. Category, the standard term for pretty rock as I learned from the ladies in the lapidary!

Great bunch of people here. Lots of knowledge and experience.

I just started so I am still working out how to use my grinder/polisher.
