What a horrible nick name... But Robert was one of the best cabbers as well as being inducted into the Silver Smith's Hall off Fame. I purchased a collection from one of Bob's old neighbors and will be selling most of them. Robert lived along the Yellowstone River near Glendive.  I am starting out with some small ring stones and will add more as I get time. I have some amazing pieces I have not photographed yet. Please drop into my site at Blueowyheegems.com. I am really slow at updating and adding things. That will change next year when I retire. Mostly I only sell what I cut myself but these are special.

T;    I have tried to find out. Robert never had a phone or a computer to my knowledge. There is scant info of him on the internet these days. He was widely published for his jewelry work in magazines back in the past. I am looking at contacting a VA home in eastern Montana where I heard there is a Robert Koeppler. It would be hard to believe there is another. I never knew him personally. I do know several people he did business with and a neighbor that moved away. Mostly they said if you wanted to see Robert just drive to Tucson in the winter or Glendive in the summer. If anyone knows I would love to hear myself. Robert is a lapidary treasure and an even greater silver smith.

He and my Dad were friends. They'd get together in Quartzite and exchanged Christmas Cards and the occasional letter. Last summer we were up near Glendive and stopped by his place, but nobody was around. I don't think my Dad got a card back from him this Christmas, either. So, we were kind of wondering.

The guy was an amazing talent.

There is a Robert Koeppler staying at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive. I do not know Robert well enough to give him a call. You can google the VA home with Tom's name and it will give you a phone number and address. If someone cares to try you may be able to reach him there. How many Robert Koeppler's could there be in Glendive. Please post if anyone reaches him.

Robert Koeppler was my uncle. He died in 2017. I have several of his pieces...agate rings, a silver bola, etc. While they are beautiful and have sentimental value, they deserve better than to sit in a drawer forever unused. until my kids inherit them from me and donate them to Goodwill. 😯

I'm wondering how I might be able to make them available to people who would be interested in buying them and I stumbled on this post from a Google search. Any suggestions/advice/help are appreciated.
