Have seen these around and would like to know if it is a real Jasper or , what's a polite way to say it, oh, I know, rubbish?
Thanks!

Sounds like ........, yup. Probably either someone dyed it, or its a similar patterned stone, that again was dyed. I find stuff like this on ebay from the dealers that carry focal beads and pre-made items they import from overseas. I don't now if they buy it already named or they make up their own names. These ebay shops tend to have lots of items and most seem to be misnamed, either accidentally or on purpose, probably a bit of both. I believe they basically buy all their stock from overseas wholesalers who either do the cabbing/carving/sculpting/dying or pay someone else to do it and then sell these shops a large amount of pre-made cabs/focal beads/scuptures/nick naks/etc. Many of the stone are not from the US but are named after US stones and seem to follow fads, like Picasso Marble is the stone of the month and anything that has similar lines and markings is sold as Picasso stone and is often dyed to look similar.
I have to admit that i find some very interesting stones for sale by these dealers and usually very cheap, like a couple of bucks for a large focal bead that i can then resize/reshape for my needs.

Thanks!
Will avoid it. Don't mind if they state it is dyed but not stating it is misleading people.
Buying that stuff would only encourage them to do more.
