Tucson Feb 1 - Ark Needed

Finally got done with biz travel in time for a trip to Tucson. For the first time in many years, lots of rain. Biblical, in fact. I've been at Tucson City Center all day, as it is mostly covered, unlike places like Electric Park. The rain is actually coming in to some rooms. No good rough yet, but have been tempted by a new specimen find: velvet sugilite.

Well Feb 1st is tomorrow...
That said if you grab that velvet sugilite, you will have to post some pictures!
I'll probably be heading down to Tucson next weekend.

As you're heading to Tucson or north from Tucson, don't be afraid to drop by for coffee and food.
If people leave my house hungry, it's their own darn fault.
Drop me a message. I'll give you the GPS coordinates for my place since my physical address and GPS don't like each other.

Yeah, well, someone stuck another day onto January...
Couldn't get a decent pic of the velvet sugilite, the specimens were small and the effect subtle. Imagine velvet malachite only in a light purple. I was told it has only been available since Fall 2014.
