I thought that I should show some of my faceted stones to the other members.
I am on the executive of our local faceting club as well as the resident faceting teacher. It is called North york faceting Guild.
Number of members varies from  year to year. And, although we are in Toronto Canada we also have a fair number of members from the US. Membership is only $40 a year and we have  a monthly news letter with copies of the last talks and new cutting designs. It is well worth while. Several of our members won the Us and the Australian competition. So, there are a lot of knowledgeable members. Several are gemologist including myself.

1. this is a rather rare Purple tourmaline from Mozambique. It is 6.9 carats, Princess Cut and I had a lot of problems polishing it. I had to re-cut it five times which, sadly resulted in a great loss of weight.
2. this is a rare Russian Demantoid garnet that I cut few years ago. Beautiful material. I loved working with it. It was 5.9 carats. Picture is not the best.
3. this is a color change Sapphire. Change is from light blue to purple blue.
4. this is an Emerald-70.70 carats that i repaired. It was very badly chipped in several places.
