Very nice -- Koroit ironstone, I assume.  Freeforming's usually the only way it can be cut.

You found the fire in that one ...  way to go man!  yes

Folks I sent my friend Abuamad a couple slabs of Queensland matrix rough to try cabbing and boy did he nail it!
There was very little fire showing in that slab but he found it inside and I don't believe he missed any of it ... you done good Mr.!

The rough is mined and slabbed by another rock friend Mr. Frank Timms. Frank is an expert at slabbing this opal matrix, many of his slabs have the best fire hiding inside.
I've cut some crazy nice cabs from his rough and often the slabs start out nearly blank ... Frank has left the fire inside the slabs, he is so good at that. We been in trade for
15 years and I've never been disappointed with any parcel he sent.  http://www.koroitopals.com/

In another thread we talked about how opportunities to buy select rough come and then go, his extra well cut slabs may someday be unavailable. He is likely the most opal matrix cut-in -est
guy on the continent down under.

A real treat to see a finished Koroit Boulder Opal.  The matrix can have very interesting pattern.  Thanks for the link John.
