I has been a while since I entered the KCC.  This cab was made from a nice slab of Dry Head Agate that I got back in January.  I just got around to cuting an cab from it today.  This material is so beautiful it is a wonder that i never got around to working with it until now.  I guess I should check my stash box more often LOL
I took the picture of the slab back in January when I got it.  Please exuse me for not taking a picture of the preform as I forgot to take my camera with me to the shop.
Thanks
Stu

My little entry for this month  I believe this is some kind of plume agate, but unsure.

Thank you for looking.

I tried to stick to the theme of transparent with highlights but my rough was not real cooperative and hard to photograph on top of that. It's an Amethyst Sage with some fairly transparent areas and the yellow area is violet by transmitted light ( 1st Photo )

All in and all said it was a fun stone to cut. The central dendrite is over two inches in length.

Photo's are in this order.
Window Shot - Transmitted light.
Stone sawn from slab
Preform
Preform domed and sanded to 1,200
