Some quartz I've been working on for someone.

Red Plume agate -  actually a redo.

Sort of a mystery stone -  made an oily black mess!

Don't know but I like it!!!  Hard as heck too!

Another mystery stone

Onyx??

Calcite I've been working on for another person.

Not real sure on this one either, but I like it!!

I think this was something called Ocean Wave jasper.

Gem silica - three shots to get a better idea of the colors  & druzy in it.  Kind of hard to capture the green!

A close up

Wow, that is some of the brightest colored gemsilica I have seen.  I love the way you capture the druzy parts in your cabs

Black Oily mess one - psilomelane with other minerals.

Others - have no idea as to the ID.

Beautiful. The one with the vug so dangerously close to the edge looks like Calico Lace.

Numbers 5, 6, 7 & 8 are all the really nice stand outs of the whole lot but you always do such nice work on all stones no matter what they are. You truly do make silk purses out of a sow's ear. yippie

Beautiful cabs, Donnie!   yes  The quartz cab looks like it has a lightning bolt in it.  Love the ones with the vugs, gem silica cab (WoW!) and the blue calcite trio.

Hi, black oily mess is Franklinite ore from New Jersey. Franklinite and I believe Zincite, both manganese minerals, hence the mess.
