I'll try to collect a couple of sites where faceting designs can be gotten for free.
The gemology Porject carries heaps of designs. Both tried but just a few untried.
However every author has their own way of setting up the pages..
http://www.gemologyproject.com/wiki/index.php?title=Faceting_Designs
Bob's rock shop carries a lot of old 'classic' designs.
http://www.rockhounds.com/rockshop/gem_designs/design_index.shtml
US faceters guild also has a nice selection of designs:
http://www.usfacetersguild.org/index_designs.shtml
The Bog website features a few designs by Tom.
Many show a very interesting style, not your typical cuts.
http://boghome.com/TomsPages/MyDesigns/index.html
Another site with an interesting style in gem designs is found below:
http://www.dansstarrgems.com/Designs-index.html
DJgems also offers what looks like more classical designs:
http://www.djgems.net/facetdiagrams.htm
Some designs by a fellow Swede, Torbjörn is found here:
http://tlorin.se/Facett/
As a side note, if you like to do "test cuts", this site shows some of my designs which are still not proof cut by myself:
http://customgemstonestudio.com/category/faceting-designs/
Now you guys/gals aren't going to run out of faceting designs in a while.

Thank you for posting all those inspiring designs. Just getting back to faceting and there is just so much useful info and help. Much more than 20+ years ago when there was a few books and not much else.

I'm going to take the plunge today and buy GemCad & GemRay. I'm not likely someone who will come up with a new design but, I got a chance to sit with an experienced user last evening. I learned how to scan through designs and then adjust design to work with the particular rough in-hand. For example, flatten or deepen and see how far I can go and still maintain light return for particular stone's attributes. Usefull, certainly very interesting, and fun.
And now more learning begins

Regis,
Gemcad is very useful for sure! I use it rather often.
Still learning cutting without a diagram, LOL!
Gemray is lacking a few odds and ends for me who is doing a lot of design work.
But overall pretty good.
Are you on FB? Got a group on this stuff, relating to designing.
Shoot me a PM.

I have had GemCad for 2 years. I have designed 19 designs. I have found that it is not the number of facets that make the stone shine but the angle of the facets.

Here, I would like to add one more link for Gem cutting - Emerald faceting.
