Tried a new hanging, for me.

A little bored with ovals just hung from the top.

A grooved stone with 1 mm silver is simple for a single hang, for double the hands of Shiva would come in handy to keep everything together as the last wrap is applied.

What do you think of this? both stones are from Agate Creek.

Cheers allen

I have always been ambivalent about wraps but not these! The stones are very dynamic shapes and the proportion of the wire twists to the stone size seems perfect,Everything is absolutely perfect to me.Thanks.

Very nicely done. I like them both but the second is my favorite.

Very nice Allen. The second one looks like it was created for the wrap, suits it perfectly.

I like the double hung concept but anytime I have done it there has been an issue with the stone/pendant hanging to one side or the other. maybe a real smooth chain or wax string might solve it but I've had no success.

When Ive used two bails on one pendant I use a chain which starts at one loop then fastens to the other loop. They seem to hang much better then.
They also sell better to the older customer being front fastening.

I'm all for it, because for carvings, it would be often much better having two points of contact with the chain. But me too, I would have much rather a chain fixed to the bail than letting it run freely on a chain. I have worn it both ways and the loose version gets often inexplicably entangled with a second chain I'm wearing.

Love the work you have done on both, and because I see a picture of early morning mist over mountains with sky above it in the first stone, that would be my favorite of the two.

I think it is a great concept.  It works well with the translucent stones you've mounted.

i've tried fastening to the loops and it is even worse for hanging crooked.

Yea know, I like these... I got the stuff, then skipped the wraping and went strait into smithing. But my concept is if you want to sell you must have something different than everyone else.....don't look at my smithing yet though, it looks cookie cutter. But these are original and I think you'll do well.

I do three kinds of work, good, fast and cheap. I can only do two at a time. If you want it good and cheap it won't be fast. If you want it fast and cheap it won't be good. If you want it good and fast it won't be cheap.
