Sorry Carol, these two stones were purchased commercially at a local gem & mineral shop.  If I knew where to get this quality of amethyst I would.  Yes, they have great color saturation and clarity.

I also used aluminum foil under the cabs to enhance  the color through reflection.

For this sort of size and oval shape [which is certainly commercially available, it's probably not worth your while making them anyway.  If it were a 'custom shape' though it would be interesting to know where you buy the unfinished material. Hmmmm.

It's been since October since I've burned any silver, but now it's the season for gifts.  Here is a Mahogany Obsidian cuff bracelet finished today for a customer...............

WOW, Steve, That's very cool yes
I can't get my brain around the scale though.
The front of the bracelet, including the cab and the silver setting, how large is that top to bottom?

It has already been delivered, so I can't measure as you requested.

The cab is a 22x32mm..........A little large for a cuff.  But, that's the stone he picked out for his lady.  That's why I set it perpendicular to the the cuff.   The cuff is constructed using #6 triangle wire and home made solid silver beads..........

Re "A little large for a cuff"......not really.  Big cuffs are 'very in' just now and this is certainly WOW material.   yippie

Really nice job making that bracelet. Anyone would be happy to find that under the tree for Christmas.

My Grand-daughter got the part to play Little Red Riding Hood in a youth theater in Spokane this coming February, so I decided to make a pendant for her.

Mixed metals - Copper, brass and sterling - Some overlay and some inlay and a little sculpting.

Had to photo this with a matte finish>  The high polish was tooooooooo shiny........ hide

How cute is that.

We had the choice for LRR or Ginger Bread Man and choose GBM, also to be performed this Friday school-play.  roar
