Hello From Valley Springs, California
«

My name is Bob Rush and I have been a lapidary fo 50 years so far. I was taught how to cut and polish cabochons by my uncle in Oregon when I was a junior in high school in 1958. I started into jewelrymaking about 35 years ago and I have taught jewelry making, lapidary and casting in the Bay Area for about 14 years. I retired last July and moved to the Gold Country in the lower Sierras. I'm currently building a large shop area so I will finally have a comfortable, dedicated place to do all of my lapidary and jewelry work. I recently got my website up and running. It is bobspremiumcabochons.com
I'm looking forward to learing a lot from all of the knowledgable and talented members of this forum.
Bob

I think we may have an idea here for the next 2-week "what to cut?" question you posed Tao....
How about Montana agate! S'pect most of us would have some of that squirreled away somewhere?

Are you from Vallley Springs where the Snyders Powwow is?
I use to sell at that show. Haven't been back in many years. I like that show.

Hi Bob,
I was just wondering if you are the same Bob that frequented Shain Mayer's old Freeform Cab Fourm.
If you are the folks on this forum are in for quite a treat.
I really miss your informative posts.

BUYING QUALITY PRODUCTS IS LIKE BUYING OATS. If you want nice, clean fresh oats you must pay a fair price. However if you can be satisfied with oats that have ALREADY BEEN THROUGH THE HORSE....... "WELL THAT COMES A LITTLE CHEAPER"

Ron,
Yes, I take the full blame and dubious responsibility of being the same ole Bob. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things that people on this forum have created and learning all that I can from these wonderful people.
I'm happy to meet at least one of the previous members of Shain's old forum. I'm also curious as to what happened to some of those members.
