These are a couple of necklaces I've been working on the last few days. The Buterfly is Kingman Turq. (what else? LOL) with a lapis body. I just got the Turq. beads at Colbaugh (made from the same rough as the wings). the other one is some of the Turq. I just bought from Colbaugh & Rhodochrosite. I decided to alternate between stones, shape & stamping only on the triangular pieces. Just to vary the texture & contrast of the stones & the settings. Pix are not the best the auto focus on my dig. camera didn't seem to want to focus right with the lighting I had. Hope you like them & thanks for taking the time to have a look see. Mike buterfly back Turq. & Rhodo. Hope I sized these right LOL

They are kool. Love the turqoise wings with the brown patches and how you matched them up.
Yes the pics are small, but i just hold down the "Ctrl" key at the left bottom corner and then hit the "+" key to enlarge the browser window until its big enough to see.

Photobucket has changed their photo editing software. I'll see if I can get them bigger. That's not a fracture in the Lapis body but a thin veine of calcite. Mike

Ok let's try this again. I had to re-upload the pix to a different folder & size them larger. Mike back Turq. & Rhodo. I hate it when they change programs. Just when you get used to doing it one way then?

Thaks Steve Yes being able to use book matched slabs for the wings. Is one of the great things about doing your own lapidary & buying the rough by the pound. Mike

Nice job on the book matched wings for sure. However I really like that second piece better somehow. Nice work on both of them.
