Yes, that's a no cutter for sure.  I'm getting lots of those now and in fact I would rather have them now than a cut up piece.

I would like to give a gift to my neighbor.  It would be entirely of tumbled stones.  About the size of a pint jar.  Any ideas as to the kind of container that would look nice?

tks

I like to recoat the worn out Nova's or similar wheels.

Don

Hey Don you old phart.  How are you?  Merry Christmas to you and yours.  Happy New Year to.  I haven't been doing much with rocks as we bought a fixer upper here in Oregon and moved in lock stock and every barrel of rocks....  Been doing a whole house make over.  Its fun but would rather be working with the saws and rocks and polishers.
Gary

I haven't been giving anyone a hard time for a long time now.
22  The Gathering / Our Place / Re: Any Morel mushroom hunters here? on: December 21, 2015, 10:10:59 pm
There aren't any surefire ways to find them, but they LOVE dead wood. Deadfalls of ash, maple and cherry/apple trees. Also think like a spore...they tend to collect in ruts and the like...avoid oaks and pines, they make the soil too acidic. Just a little helpful knowledge, but pagan, they can be unpredictable. I've found them in pine areas, but they were always a little ragged lol

That's where we found them was under and around the pines and firs....

We would go every Memorial Day weekend to Emigrant Springs campground between Pendleton and La Grande in Oregon.
Have not gone the last few years but some friends we introduced to 'shroomin' still go up there.  I loved the hunt, not necessarily eating them.

6" would work better for sure and in fact that is probably what this is is a 6" and not an 8", but, when in Rome you use what you have  dunno

What brand is yours?

The tube shown on the left side of the lap is connected via hose to the reservoir on top.  The discs I have are eight inches but are about 1 1/16th inch to large and can be either trimmed down or the lap itself can be trimmed ever so slightly so they can turn freely.  The company is not in business anymore.
tks

I haven't used this in the last five years.  I am trying to downsize for my eventual (but not yet) move to a smaller place...Hence 'The Sale'..  I think $125 + shipping is not unreasonable.  Let fly with the questions.
tks

The 8 inch disc needs to be trimmed down about 1/8th of an inch.  It rubs against the  inside edge of the slant lap.  I will include a syringe of diamond for the lap.  I have a clear plastic disc also that goes with the lap.

Okay.  That sure looks like them, just a more 'modern' version.   I need to use thicker ink.
