Hi all. I seem to be having trouble with some of the slabs I have.  They will not take a nice polish or shine. I do not have a leather polishing wheel yet but is there some kind of oil I can put on these cabs to make them shine? I heard about baby oil.  Is there anything else?

Thank You

Hi all I am looking for your help again I really do appreciate it.  First of all can anyone tell me what the stone may be? Also I have polished it and only the blue stone in the cabochon will polish the white and darker color does not polish at all.  Is there a way to bring out the lust in the darker color? oil etc. any suggestion would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks

This is a great piece. When I bought the slab it was black, when I cut it I saw the pink. It turned out beautifully? What is it? Thanks

Wow Bob I can find almost nothing on Bayouite, but you are right a Google search turned up only one reference to Bayouite and a picture https://www.flickr.com/photos/42116660@N03/5200961590

It says it was bought at the 1987 Gem Show in Tucson.  So how rare is the piece I have I wonder.
