I've been to your jail, but I haven't HAD to spend time there. Ha, ha. Seriously there is a great collection and I recommend it to friends going to Franklin. The club volunteers are great to talk to.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made in Ron's name to the Charlotte Gem & Mineral Club (c/o Murray Simon, 5134 Dunes Court, Charlotte, NC 28226) or the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts (230 Lapidary Lane, Young Harris, GA 30582).

He passed yesterday, 11/2/13 after a struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. We thought that Ron would always be there to  answer even the craziest of questions.

If by chance you are downtown at lunchtime, there is a gift shop that has a sandwich shop attached that has great food. Chicken salad is wonderful and I have heard that the grilled cheese is outstanding.
