i need to get an angle grinder and do this to my Teanaway jasper (aka Teanaway jade) boulder.

Huge boulder sitting in my back yard wanting to be "NICELY" made into smaller chunks rather than a sledge hammer and ending up with awkward shaped chunks.

i found getting rough wet, under bright lighting with a loupe, i can see how deep the fire is on a side.
Then i grind down as close as i can to remove the top without going into the color.

I am wondering, from all you that have the dremel flexible shafts.

How long have you used yours, how long do they last before you have to replace the whole shaft?

you can probably make a template with a 6x6 square drawing a line from corner to corner and make a hole in the center big enough to put a pencil or sharpie tip through and make a center mark.

your slabochon creation is interesting.
I bet you could make a larger one to hold planter pots also. cool idea!

That ebay & etsy and buying slabs gets expensive. I sold one of my rifles and bought a combination saw unit to make my own litle slabs, but that wasnt good enough i had to sell other things and get a 20 inch saw lol

make your personal work area tall enough so your neck isnt bent downwards the whole time you are working, having your neck bent downward for lengthy periods of time causes injury to your spine.

just remember, rock hounding at riffe lake is closed and WDFW will fine you for artifacting (up to $600 or more) for picking up a rock.
