Yes welcome to the forum, Thank you for sharing the info on the Jooltool. I Just spent 30 mins watching Jooltool videos. I want one , I need one, I can't afford one . I am a bit of a tool junkie I like gadgets and love the way you can see what you are doing with this tool. I will add it to my wish list that just gets longer and longer and doesn't seem to get things crossed off. But i can still dream

I agree it is Turritella. I bought my self a nice chunk last year at a local fair, paid $18 for it. I have taken 2 slabs off it to make cabs with it. Unfortunately my first cab broke half way through and i haven't yet attempted to redesign the broken cab or have a go with the second slab. Here is a bit of info from the web for you.:-"Turritella Agate" is a well known and popular stone that is composed of the fossil shells of a high spired snail called Elimia tenera. The name Turritella is given to the fossils because it looks similar to that family of gastropods, but they are confined to salt water whereas these snails lived in fresh water ". It will be interesting to see how you go with turning the slabs into cabs. I believe it polishes very well
