Looks like some slabs that i have, but not sure that i ever really got a name with it.  Really nice little globules that look like chalcedony to me.  If i ever can figure where i got it, i will see if there was a name with it.  I actually think, that someone here sold it to me 4 or 5 years back.

Looks like Rose Eye Jasper covered by snow flakes.  Hard to see thru the white or whatever it is, but the pattern underneath looks like Rose Eye Jasper.  Check out the pics at this site and compare them to your stone:

I've seen the woman who either designed it, owns the company, or is just an actor, use it to cut cabs and polish them.  I think its more a finishing tool myself.  I wouldn't mind having one to do finish work, but am not sure how well it would work for heavy duty use in cabbing.

I would also contact DP.  In  the meantime, you should be able to at least find where it is across the wheel.  Take a slab  and don't move it with regards to the wheel, and push the flat end into the wheel and then locate the spot on the slab that is scratched.  Now you know where in the cross section the bad spot is.   Then you just spin the wheel by hand slowly and look for a blemish and if you find one, mark it and take the wheel off and look at the surface from the side of the wheel and hopefully will see it sticking up a bit higher than the rest of the wheel surface, that is unless its microscopically small and you can't see it with the naked eye.  If you can find it, you may be able to smooth it out.  But probably its best to contact DP and hopefully get a new wheel replacement.

As usual, hard to tell from pics.  I have had chunks of Tiffany Stone that look like your chunk's twin and the cab also looks like Tiffany to me.  But it could be several other stones too.  If not purple and kind of drab, then its what is considered low grade Tiffany, but you can still get some really nice cabs out of it.  I was looking thru a bunch of pics of stones i have had over the years, and i have seen just about every color in Tiffany Stone.

I bet.  I know that you can still collect stone in parts of New York City.  Now that would get some strange looks.

Sweeeeeeet!  Nice agate or chalcedony that holds it all together.  What part of PA, like in the mountains?
