Title: Any clue as to what this is? Coprolite? Youngite? Post by: mossyrockhound on April 11, 2016, 04:10:10 pm Hi all,
My buddy was over last week and we picked a rock out of the rock pile and cut it. It weighed about 15 or 20 pounds before cutting. It was purchased 20 or so years ago in an estate. Neither one of us knew what it was. Can anybody ID it? Title: Re: Any clue as to what this is? Coprolite? Youngite? Post by: 55fossil on April 12, 2016, 10:36:16 am Could you post another pic or two of the exterior. Coprolite comes in a lot of sizes and shape. Now granted, 20 pounds is a lot of s..., but a turd is a turd and dinosaurs were big. I am not certain that there is a given "normal" for the interiors of Dino Poop but the outside looks possible. cool posting

With tape measure for size. It was 4 or 5 inches longer before I cut the slabs. Sort of like a gnarly loaf of bread: (https://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi441.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fqq134%2Fmossyrockhound%2FDSCN0528_zpste6yxyr1.jpg&hash=b257db0056df3010e2a2d57d4507adcb) (http://s441.photobucket.com/user/mossyrockhound/media/DSCN0528_zpste6yxyr1.jpg.html) From the back: (https://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi441.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fqq134%2Fmossyrockhound%2F15a6d1f6-c9be-42f0-ac25-b1f4515555d4_zpsiwcvde99.jpg&hash=3eab3aab847edff34955ddda7336f1ef) (http://s441.photobucket.com/user/mossyrockhound/media/15a6d1f6-c9be-42f0-ac25-b1f4515555d4_zpsiwcvde99.jpg.html) Another from the top; (https://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi441.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fqq134%2Fmossyrockhound%2FDSCN0530_zps5duvsnvk.jpg&hash=029db3abb480d005eae3fbdbce9cf81e) (http://s441.photobucket.com/user/mossyrockhound/media/DSCN0530_zps5duvsnvk.jpg.html) Thanks for any help.
