Title: Hello from East Central Indiana Post by: Blessedby6 on February 11, 2016, 10:34:44 pm I'm a homeschool mom of 6 kids. We got into rocks because my oldest, then 13 or 14 years old, always seemed to hunt for and collect them. Sveral years ago after a trip to TN to visit family, and coming back with a truckful of rocks, I decided to look for a place for him to learn more. We found a rock and gem club not even ten minutes away. Within weeks the folks there had him and I both working on the machines and making cabs.
I don't really enjoy the lapidary part much anymore, but have recently begun wire weaving jewelry for sale, and I really need to learn to identify the rocks I'm working with. And of course, one of the wonderful members of our club pointed me to this forum, so here I am! Right now I'm mostly just enjoying weaving, trying to come up with a business name, and soaking up as much information as I can.
