This thunder egg inspired me because of the clear agate between two layers of opaque white. I thought this gave the stone a lot of depth. I chose a plain shape and high dome. The stone size is 30 x 38 mm.
The wonderful cabs entered this month motivated me get some cutting done.

That is really neat! You are right about the clear area giving the cab depth. Cabbing it with a high dome enhances the depth. It looks like an arctic water scene. Great job!  Eric. |

Alan, your cab is definitely artistic with those strong parallel lines contrasting with the orbs at the edges, and the strong color variation. Your stone captivated me so much I found myself coming back to it quite a few times, and every time I looked I saw something new.
