I have some marble pieces, as in counter top that would be good for carving or carving practice.  I am looking for coprolite, aka dino poop but am always interested in other stuff too.  Mostly it's white or cream colored.

Here's some pictures!  Not all is marble.  I think the red one might be granite & the one darker one larvakite.

Well Donnie, I drive by a couple of the marble and granite shops, and they have piles of sink cutouts sitting by their dumpsters. Am guessing free for the taking, since they are outside the fence.

Yeah I suppose that's true.  Well I still want some coprolite!  I just don't want to wade through one slab, one piece at a time stuff on ebay!  I see I am on restriction with Photobucket.  Gonna have to delete some pictures since I don't want to pay for an account!

Donnie watch out on some coprolite, some of it is so fractured, it falls apart while cabbing!

So what are my options, what do I look for.  I would like to find some good pieces for cabbing & such but I also need some just for the novelty of what it is.  That would go to my flea market friend to sell to her customers who are just looking for neat rocks.  That's the main reason I want more than just a piece or two!

Both, but I don't need high grade for specimens nor big ones.  I want nice ones for cabbing though!
Thanks for looking for me!

Donnie..........I got some really nice Coprolite from Tony @ Idaho Rockshop a few years back. One chunk in particular was a little soft but very plumey.  Pictures aren't the greatest. I got several other pieces from him also. Theywere all quite different from one another.

That's pretty!  I guess the fun part is cutting it open to see what's inside!!  I don't think I will ever get tired of that!  I will go see if he has any on his website.
