I had them cut the sheet steel to size since I didn't want to use a torch cause it does not leave a nice edge. Bar , flat and angles I had rough sized and cut myself with a 14" metal mitre saw.  I have quite a bit done since last post, Will be posting more in a day or 2. I have a few more things to wrap up at the moment. The sled and vise are done and I am in the process of installing the arbor and block bearings.

Nope not a machinist, just a tinkerer. I actually am a full police dispatcher and part time cop time looking at retiring in a few years. I just start projects and need to get them done as quickly as possible. A bad habit. I am also a hobbyholic. This being the newest one. I need to get all the toys while I am still working before I get on that fixed income and can't support my illnesses (hobbys).LOL

Wow, Joe you're a hobby-aholic with skills.
At least you recognize your illness....I have it too, but it took me years to recognize it.

Very ambitious project!

Almost had a test slice today!!!  The saw is done but I have a small leak around the drain. Waiting for sealer to dry and then may get to try it. Saw blade came this morning just after I finished wiring and mounting the feed drive motor. Will take completed pictures and post later today. Wish me luck on the test drive.
