So after weeks, Alan got the new motor for the 24'' wired and installed.  As he proudly came into the house after installing the motor, I had to break it to him that some things wrong with the 18'' cuz it only wants to cut half way thru a rock.  Thought he was going to cry....... oops.  I probably should have waited til next week end.

I feel his pain bricks.  I had to replace the motor on my 24" saw this winter, along with
the shut-off switch, and all the wiring.  The manufacturer provided all the replacement
parts, but I got stuck doing the labor.  A 1 1/2 hp motor isn't light.  I was happy when I got
it all put back together, and was running rock through again.
